Shark Dive - EEEK!!!!
Well, as most of you know, I am trying to raise funds so that I can participate in Frontier's Tropical Conservation Programme in Cambodia, which starts on Monday 6th July 2009.
I wanted to do something a bit different, something that had an aspect of conservation in it and something that people would remember. So, I decided to try a Shark Dive on Saturday 11th April (my 24th birthday!!). The dive will take place at Deep Sea World aquarium, just outside Edinburgh. I will be diving (without the aid of a cage!!!) with the UK's largest collection of Sand Tiger Sharks.
At first I was really excited about doing this. That was until I looked up some videos of Sand Tiger Sharks on Youtube!!!

These guys are big and to be honest, the whole idea pretty much terrifies me now! It doesn't help when people keep asking, "Yeah, but you'll be in a cage right?!!"
No, I won't be in a cage, I won't have a suit of armour - it'll just be me in a wetsuit and 30 of these mahoosive fish!
I'm sure I'll be fine though :O
